How to get more marks in GCT? A complete guide for
successful students.

This is a true story. It happened 3 years back. It was my 4th semester examinations and the paper was Building Materials. Dear Mr.Geology paper.

Day starting itself not good. Till that exam we were seated in a different exam hall, and for this particular exam they changed seating arrangements, and that too we know after the bell rang oly. அவசர  அவசர  ம  hall la  தேடி  கண்டுபிடுச்சு  tension ஆகி  ஒரு   வழிய  settle ஆகும்போது , exam ஆரம்பிச்சு  5 நிமிடம்   ஆச்சு !!!

Question paper தந்தாங்க .( I cant remember our invigilator, but pakkathu hall la தெய்வம்  இருந்துச்சு). நானும்  திருப்பி  திருப்பி    பாக்குறேன்  ஒன்னும்  தெரியல , தெரியல  nu   gara விட  எதுவும்   book la பார்த்த    மாதிரி  கூட  ஞாபகம்  இல்ல   . எனக்கு  இது  நம்ம  paper ah nu kuda doubt achu. திருப்பி  Question paper heading பாத்தேன் . Building Material ஏப்ரல் - மே  2008 nu போட்டு  இருந்துசு . சரி  நம்ம  paper than nu conform பண்ணிட்டு , மறுபடி  yum Question’s ellam வாசித்து   பாத்தேன் . ஓர  ஒரு  6 mark மட்டும்  தான்  தெரியும் .(சத்தியமா  சொல்லுறேன்  நான்  சொல்லுறது  100% உண்மை ). Side la பாத்தேன்  Raja கட  கட  எழுதிகிட்டே  இருக்கன் , Cross la Prams solla ve vendam. முண்ணாடி பாத்தேன்  பிரகாஷ் . அவன்  திரும்பி   என்ன சிரித்தான் ( அதே  trade mark சிரிப்பு ). அப்பாடா company ku alu erukan nu appa than தைரியம்   வந்துச்சு . Time பார்த்த  half an hour ஓடிருச்சு . Enna pannarathu ne theriyala. Seri nu oru 5 nimisham appidiye suthi muthi pathen, இத  பார்த்த invigilator என்  கிட்ட  வந்து  ஒரு  மாதிரி  பாத்து chu. சரி இனிமேல்  சும்மா  இருந்த  சரி  பட்டு  வராது  nu, first question பாத்தேன் .

How is terra cotta manufactured? 

(I actually thought tera cotta is a some kind of tile made with clay. இன்று வரை அப்படித்தான்  நினச்சுட்டு  இருக்கேன் , terra cotta na என்ன  nu தெரியாது )  

Ans: Terra cotta is a kind of tile manufactured from soft clay.

Ø  Terra cotta are made with magnificient skills and so they look beautiful.

Ø  Making of Terra cotta: A small quantity of clay is taken and maixed with right anount of water.

Ø  This process is called Kneading. Kneading is a process in which clay is thoroughly mixed with water to obtain a soft clay which can be molded into various shapes.

Ø  This clay after kneading is placed below and a wheel is placed over it.

Ø  This wkeel is commonly known as Potter’s wheel.There will be a small hole in the centre. As the wheel rotates clay comes out through the wheel.

Ø  This clay since it is soft and kneaded can be made into any kind of shape.

Ø  There people who make terra cotta will now make the clay coming out from the wheel into various form. The more experienced people will make beautiful terra cotta.

Ø  After the terra cotta has been made, it is then baked in a oven at a temperature of 500o  C to 750 C for 3 days.

Ø  It is then taken out of oven and cleaned for dust and other waste material.

Ø  After checking for holes and other deformities they are packed and sold.

(though I dint exactly reproduce what I wrote in exam, this is the content which I wrote, Believe it not I wrote potters wheel, thinking of murali and meena(பொற்காலம் film), But at the same time I also added many technical words like Kneading, Sun dry etc..,)

                    

See guys this is a first question and wrote in the first page of the answer script. திருத்து  ran mattum first question paduchan எனக்கு  முட்ட mark than கிடைக்கும், but எப்படியும்  arrear உறுதி , என்ன  எழுது na enna nu oru தைரியம் .

இந்த  மாதிரி  ye 100 மார்க் um எழுதுன , கிட்ட  தட்ட  25-26 page. Oru question விடம  attend pannu nen. 2 மணி  நேரத்துலே  முடுச்சுட்டேன். But athu kulla namma pasanga konja peru poitanga.

3 maths ku apuram naan fail ayiruvom bayantha ora paper intha building materials than. Intha paper எழுதுனது  ku அப்புறம்  எந்த  பேப்பர்னனும்  சமாளிக்கலாம் தைரியம்  வந்தது.

After around 3 months result came. 72/80 in external (9 /20 in internal ). நம்பவே  முடியல . இன்னொரு  தடவை result check panni pathen, உண்மை  than. Antha paperla class la எல்லாரும்  pass (I believe so).

அன்னிக்கு  முடிவு  பண்ணுனேன்  அது  ku  apuram, எந்த  பேப்பர் nanumlum kanna mudikittu எழுது  da, ihtu concrete, steel nu design paper kum thodartha thu than kodumai.

Enna mo ippi ellam mark vangu na thalo enna mo, போன  வாரம் ஒரு  interview ponna appo, SSB beam with point load at midspan nu Shear force diagram  variya sonna po, சருன்னு  மேல  இருந்து  கிழ கோடு   kiluchen . Antha HR enna kari thupathu koriaya poga sonna pothu than thonuchu……

Paduchu erukanu mo????????
